In selected Ljubljana bars you can try Brina, the gin cocktail inspired by Ljubljana’s temperament.

Our capital has a rich history and strong heritage, so local and traditional flavors have an important role in the mixture. We chose Slovenian gin for the base, as it has strong juniper notes, and included apples, a typical ingredient of Slovenian traditional cuisine, in the recipe.
The charming Ljubljana streets tell ancient stories, but the city never sleeps. Ljubljana is young and fresh; every corner is different, every step a surprise. Bringing Ljubljana’s freshness and exotic feel to the mix are lemon and ginger, and some pink tonic is added for a dose of youthful cheekiness.
__________ INGREDIENTS
Slovenian gin
Ginger, apple and lemon syrup
Pink tonic
Lemon twist
Slice of red apple

Tiny tip: if you can, try to go in for example May/June or September instead of July or August. The weather should be much more pleasurable than in NL & there are less tourists and better deals. I’ve got some more tips for Ljubljana on the planning for this blog, so stay tuned!
That sounds really nice. Ljubljana is on my bucketlist. Maybe this summer I’m going to visit that lovely city. 😍🌍📍
